Make a Difference on the Library Board!
Would you like to have an impact on the decisions made at your library? Would you like to have a say
in the library's future? The City of Tigard is seeking to fill several openings on the Library Board. The
terms begin in July and run for four years (with a potential 6-month extension). The Library Board
currently meets virtually on Microsoft Teams on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The
Tigard Library Board is an advisory board to the City Council.
If you are interested in applying, fill out a Boards and Committees Application form or apply on-line.

Our Building is Open for Limited In-Person Services!
The Tigard Public Library is open for limited in-person services!
When you come into the library
• Face coverings and social distancing are required by the City of Tigard.
• Stay home if you are sick.
• Keep your visit brief.
• Sanitize your hands before browsing.
• Do not eat or drink during your visit.
Additional safety measures include limited building capacity, Plexiglas barriers at service points, and
increased disinfecting protocols. Be prepared to wait in line.
Expanded Hours
Monday-Thursday
• No-Contact Library Takeout: noon-2 p.m.
• In-Building Service: 2-6 p.m.
Friday-Saturday
• In-Building Service: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
• No-Contact Library Takeout: 2-5 p.m.
When you visit you will be able to:
• Check out your own holds
• Browse library materials
• Access computers, internet, and printing
• Use the restrooms
You can still pick up a Take & Make bag for preschoolers, kids, teens, and adults! Just visit the library
during our in-building service hours or Library Takeout. New projects will appear by the 1st and the
15th of the month. Limit one craft per person every two weeks.
Story Time continues on Facebook Live Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. or Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. through
Thursday, May 13. There will be a two week story time break from Tuesday, May 18-Thursday, May
27. Family Story Time will resume on Tuesday, June 1.

Join families across the community to make a colorful art project,
rn+�� then display it for all to see! Pick up a special Take & Make bag,
create your project, then return it to the Library. Art will be displayed
in the Library's windows during Tigard Art Walk.

� - - Library Council and help plan virtual events for all ages and set the

Paint with Watercolors for Tigard Art Walk
Registration begins May 1

Have you ever wanted to participate in a community art project?
Now is your chance! Watch a watercolor tutorial on YouTube with
011"& Librarian Mila, then use our beautiful northwest spring landscape
- as inspiration for your own painting. Return your artwork to the
} library by Monday, May 17 to be displayed in the Library as part of
FL Tigard Art Walk! Artwork will be returned to you after display.
Registration is limited to thirty participants. Sign up for your take
home kit here.

If you're hungry to try new things, stop by Tigard Public Library to pick up the latest releases, then visit
the food truck in our parking lot! The first vendor is Bubbles&Treats. Stop by to purchase their
handcrafted sodas, floats, and lemonades on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11 a.m.-5
p.m. now through June 5.
