05/11/1976 - Minutes Tigard Water District 5-76 Regular Meeting May 11, 1976 PRESENT: Don W. Thomas, Chairman Gene H. Chamberlin, Secretary Hugh A. Brown Robert E. Santee, Administrator/Engineer John P. Miller, Foreman VISITORS: Mrs. S.W. Lindekugel, 8960 S. W. Edgewood Street Mr. K. Frazer, 9760 S. W. McDonald Street (8:15 p.m.) The meeting was called to order by Chairman Thomas at 7:30 p.m. Motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the last meeting, as written. Motion carried unanimously Mrs. Lindekugel appeared before the Board to request relief on a high water bill due to a slow leak in the service line to her house. Motion was made by Hugh Brown and seconded by Gene Chamberlin to grant Mrs. Lindekugel a $33.05 credit on her water bill. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made and seconded to pay the vouchers. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Frazer appeared before the Board to request relief on an enormously high water bill of $242 for the two-month period ending April 19, 1976. There was a leak beyond the meter in a plastic sprinkler system. Motion was made by Hugh Brown and seconded by Gene Chamberlin that: (1) TWD monitor the meter readings to ensure that the meter functions properly. (2) TWD provide all available information to Mr. Frazer on a pressure-reducing valve. (3) Mr. Frazer be authorized to pay his bill one-fourth at a time over the next four billing periods. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Hugh Brown and seconded by Gene Chamberlin to go on record as opposing any charge imposed by Washington County to collect the water district's share of property taxes. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made to adjourn at 8:27 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
