Hugh Brown advised the Board that the firm where he is employed has become the exclusive distributor in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho for the Speed Star Division of the Koehring Corporation, manufacturers of well drilling equipment. Therefore, he stated he is not just a casual observer in the passing scene when it comes to wells. He noted, further, that should the water district decide to drill a well, in all probability, Tigard Water District would not be purchasing equipment from his firm, but would most likely be contracting with a well drilling company who purchased and utilized equipment from his firm. Ken Baines advised that there may be a potential conflict of interest and it should be included in the official record. Administrator was instructed to investigate all the facts and determine cost estimates to obtain a well site and drill another well. Water service to the City of Durham and the adjacent area recently annexed to the City of Tigard was discussed. Purchase of a reservoir site for the terminal 10 MG reservoir on the Ames' property located near 121st and Bull Mountain Road was discussed. Motion was made to adjourn at 8:53 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. sow -2-
