The meeting was called to order at 7:37 p.m. by Chairman Thomas. Motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the last meeting, as written. Motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Halvorson appeared before the Board to request relief on a $230 water bill for the period May 23 to July 25, 1975 incurred on rental property at 12715 S. W. Beef Bend Road (Account #10A-434). Motion was made and seconded to authorize a credit of $98.00 with a remainder of $132 to be paid by patron. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Willmon appeared before the Board to request relief on a $139 water bill incurred at his residence for the period July 23 to September 24, 1975. (Account #9-105). Motion was made and seconded to authorize a credit of $64.75 with a remainder of $74.25 to be paid by patron. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made and seconded to pay the vouchers. Motion carried unanimously. -1- Now Minutes (Continued) Motion was made to donate a 3/4-inch meter installation for the improvement of the State-owned traffic island located at the south entrance to the City of Tigard on Highway 99W. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Hugh Brown and seconded by Clarence Nicoli to approve the Administrator's system development charges as out- lined in his letter to developers of September 16, 1975, on a temporary basis, until such time as the Board can act on revision of the current schedule of meter charges; and that the Administrator be instructed to present at the next meeting a recommendation for revised meter connection charges taking into account the district's enormous capital needs over the next few years, the system development charge imposed by the City of Portland for Bull Run water, and the charges of neighboring districts. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made to authorize the Administrator to see that water samples of the Willamette River at Wilsonville are taken and appro- priate tests conducted over the next 8-month period. Motion carried unanimously. Administrator was advised to invite Mr. Jim Savage, Coopers & 4,. Lybrand, to appear at the next meeting to discuss the annual audit. TIGARD, OREGON 97223 ,W, PHONE (503) 639-1554 September 16, 1975 To: All developers and home builders in the Tigard Water District From: Tigard Water District Subj: System Development Charge Since the Tigard Water District will consume about 107. of its water from Bull Run during the next year the Portland Bureau of Water Works has advised that the system development charge will be imposed for each new water service connecting to the Tigard Water District system. It will become the responsibility of the Tigard Water District to collect this charge for each new service connection, commencing on October 1. 1975, and remit same to the City of Portland. The amount due will be 107. of the system development charge normally charged other water purveyors utilizing Bull Run water. A Allow schedule of this 107. additional charge is as follows: Size of Service Charge Schedule: Size of Service Charge 3/4" $ 22.50 1" 40.00 11" 70.00 2" 120.00 3" 140.00 4" 200.00 6" 300.00 8" 450.00 Per Unit Charge Schedule: (whichever is greater) Duplex $ 20.00 per unit 3 or more units 15.00 per unit The above amounts will be collected at the time of application for meter installation.
