08/12/1975 - Minutes Tigard Water District 350th Regular Meeting August 12, 1975 PRFSENT: Don W. Thomas, Chairman Clarence F. Nicoll, Treasurer Gene H. Chamberlin, Secretary Robert E. Baines, Attorney Visitors: Ann Schukart, Associated with Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce Deanie Clinkscales, " " ft " ft Kathy O'Neil , The Oregonian Cheryl Beshears, Tigard Times The meeting was called to order at 7:4R p.m. by Chairman Thomas. Motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the last meeting, as written. Motion carried unanimously. ,v.r. Motion was made and seconded to pay the vouchers. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made and seconded to officially support the forma- tion of a wholesale water county service district (Washington County) utilizing the Willamette River as a source of water. Motion carried unanimously. Administrator was instructed to so advise Washington County by letter and to express the hope that Washington County would commence immediately and pursue implementation of the plan as rapidly as possible. Motion was made and seconded to approve concept of the ST&R Engineering Study to either singly or jointly develop the Willamette River water source at Wilsonville and to invite the Cities of Wilson- ville, Tualatin, Sherwood, and Beaverton and Wolf Creek Highway, Metzger, and Raleigh Water Districts to participate. Motion carried unanimously. Administrator was advised to send a letter to each entity requesting a decision, at an early date, on their desire to participate. Motion was made and seconded to table until the next meeting the subject of obtaining voter approval in May 1976 to issue G.O. bonds totalling $1 .7 million to construct a 10-million gallon ter- minal reservoir and appropriate transmission mains.
