Permission is requested to install a fire hydrant at 72nd and r..• Banmpton Street (north of bridge), providing Metzger requests same. Again, a developer in the Metzger Water District is confronted with the problem of installing a fire hydrant where fire flows are inadequate. The fire district has prescribed a fire hydrant from Tigard Water District's 12" main for the new office complex to be constructed on the southeast corner of this intersection. The developer intends to request Metzger Water District to authorize Tigard Water District to install the fire hydrant. All costs would be borne by the developer. Ordinarily the Tigard Water District should not agree to supply fire protection for an out-of- district area without some revenue; however, in this case, the fire hydrant will also improve the fire protection at Phil Lewis Grade School. Since that school is a part of School District 23J (Tigard) residents in the Tigard Water District would benefit from a better fire insurance rating for that area. 6. Annexations south of Durham Road, north of Tualatin River. Eight home owners located along S. W. 108th have expressed a desire to extend an 8" main a distance of 2,000 lineal feet at an estimated cost of $20,000. Also, some residents along the south side of Durham Road have requested water service. The area should be annexed prior to serving *ow water. Guidance is requested on how to proceed. -- either annex the entire area or by individual lot. -1- ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT (Continued) 7. Unmetered water. Cu. Ft. Cu. Ft. Cu. Ft. Cu. Ft. Cu. Ft.
