Santee, Administrator Visitors __ None Mr. Wheelwright, Budget Officer, called the meeting to order at 7:54 p.m. Mr. Myers was elected Budget Chairman. Mr. Longfellow was elected Budget Secretary. Mr. Wheelwright presented the budget message. (see attached document). Motion was made to approve the budget document, as presented, for all funds. Motion carried. A summary of the proposed budget is shown as follows: Income: Meter installations $ 60,000 Water Sales 382,000 Developer's, Overhead & Equipment, Wage reimbursement 41,400 Miscellaneous 10,030 wow $493.430 Expenses: Salaries $131,200 Water Costs, incl. electricity 56,000 Pipe replacements & extensions 72,000 Bond Sinking Fund 93,960 Miscellaneous 140,270 $493.430 The bonded debt requirements total $234,970 of which $189,070 can be provided from resources within the district and $45,900 from taxation. The same tax rate of 26c per $1,000 assessed valuation is proposed. Two bond construction funds are active; namely: Bond Construction #1 and #1A. #1 will total about $160,000 and #lA about 180,000 on July 1st. All of these funds are budgeted to be spent during the next fiscal year. Of major importance is the 16-inch main from Bradley Corners to Tigard and Tiedeman Streets. Other funds will be spent on 12-inch transmission mains and pump stations. Of major concern to the district is whether the State Engineer will ,.. require the closing of any or all of the deep wells.
