02/10/1954 - Minutes ,n" One Hundred fourteenth Regular Meeting Tigard Water District Tigard, Oregon February 10, 1954. Present, C.E.Janoe, President, C.L.Osborne, H.J.Heffron, D.W.Proebstel and Lenord Nodland Commissioners. J.P.Lohrenz Supt. The minutes of the previous meeting were read corrected and then approved. A motion was made by C.L.Osborne, seconded by D.W.Proebstel that H.J. Heffron be authorized as an alternate to sign the checks of the District. The motion carried. A motion was made by C.L.Osborne, seconded by H.J.Heffron that the clerk write a letter to the HOMe Office of the West Coast Telephone Co. at Everett Washington requesting them to instruct the local Tigard office to continue to give the Tigard Water District telephone calls to the Superin- tendent's phone as done here to fore, until the new consolidated directory becomes operative some time around June 1954. The motion carried. Since Mr. MacEntyre , the Engineer, is sick in bed, the President ordered a special meeting to be held in the usual place Thursday. February 1$, 1954 at seven thirty P.M. , to consider the water storage tank. C.L.Osborne moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that we install a meter at the Johnsons place on Murdock Street for the price of $200.00. Mr. Johnson has his own meter and the price of it was allowed on the installation. The motion passed. D.W.Proebstel moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that Mr. Johnson's meter on Murdock street be installed on a ready to serve, stand by basis for a fee of $5.00 per year. How ever in case he uses water he is to be charged at theregular monthley rate for the water used. The motion carried. The Supt. stated that Mr. Williams on Knolls Acres requested the price of a meter installation at his place. Since he is not in the Tract promoted by the Vincent Real Estate Co. the Board decided that the charge should „,,, be the regular out of the District charge. The Vincent Real Estate Co. paid for the pipe line serving the lots across the street from Mr. Williams. D.W.Pr,ebstel moved and 6.L.Osborne seconded that the Supt. attend the Short School for Water Operators at Corvallis , Oregon. The expenses are to be paid by the Board. The Board advised the Supt. to take the examan- ation which they give. The motion carried. D.W.Proebstel moved, C.L.Osborne seconded that the bills be paid as listed. The motion carried. As there was no futher business C.L.Osborne moved, and H.J.Heffron seconded that the meeting adjourn. The motion carried.
