04/14/1954 - Minutes One Hundred and Sixteenth Regular Meeting Tigard Water District Tigard Oregon April 14, 1954 Present: C.E.Janoe, President, H.J.Heffron, C.L.Osborne, Leonard Nodland Commissioners, J.P.Lohrenz Supt. , and C.E.Wheelock Atty. The meeting was opened in the regular manner by the President. C.L.Osborne moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that the minutes be approved as read. The motion carried. It was stated that the American Pipe and Construction Co. wants a thirty day extension on the finishing of the contract on the tank on account of bad weather. The Boardfelt that it isto soon to ask for an extension. Also to notify the Board in writing . C .L.Osborne moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that the Board authorize a call for three bidsfor the installation of three hundredand fifty feet of eight inch bell type concrete tile for an over flow from the new tank at Well # 2. The motion passed. C.L.Osborne moved and Leonard Nodland seconded that the Supt. measure and estimate the cost of the over flow pipe line and when the three bids have been received , to give C.E.Janoe the price quoted in the low bid. C.E.Janoe will then advise the other members of the Board. The motion passed. An undetermined leak occured in the street in front of Bushnell' s Nut Craking Plant. Before any thing was done about it C.L.Osborne went to the US National Bank in Tigard and made an agreement with Mr. Palmer, that the Supt. wo.ld do the work to determine the cause of the leak. If the leak was from our water main the Tigard Water District would pay the cost, but if it was not caused by our pipe that the Bank would pay the cost. C.L.Osborne moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that the bills be paid as listed. The motion carried. As there was no futher business H.J.Heffron moved and Leonard Nodland seconded that the meeting adjourn. The motion carried.
