04/20/1954 - Special Meeting Minutes Special Meeting Tigard Water District Tigard, Oregon April 20, 1954 The special meeting was called by the President to consider purchasing additional ground at Well # 2. The meeting was held at the home of Commissioner C.L.Osborne. Present: C.E.Janoe, President, C.L.Osborne, H.J.Heffron Commis- sioners, and J.P.Lohrenz Supt. The meeting was opened in the regular manner by the President. After much discussion of the details to acquaint the Board members , C.L.Osborne moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that the Tigard Water District purchase from F.C.Gunther parcels of land as follows, one piece ten feet by two hundred seventeen and one half feet, and one piece one hundred and ten feet by two hubdred and seventeen and one half feet, at a price of eight hundred forty five dollars. The motion carried. Description of property from the deed. Beginning at a point, which said point is the Southwest corner of t that certain tract of land conveyed to the Tigard Water District by Deed recorded on Page 90 in Book 297, Deeds for Washington County, Oregon, which said property is in section 10 Township 2 South Range 1, West of the Willamette Meridian.; thence West 217.5 feet to a point; thence North and parallel to the West line of the tract of land conveyed in said Deed 110 feet to a point; thence East 317.5 feet to a point; thence South 10 feet; thence West 100 .' feet; thence south 100 feet to the place of beginning. Also the right to use for the purpose of installing, constructing, maintaining and repairing a pipe line to carry overflow water from storage tanks located upon the property of the Tigard Water District a perpetual easement over and upon the following described real property, to wit, Beginning at a point 217 feet Nest and 110 feet North of the South West corner of that certain tract of land in Section 10 Township 2 South Range 1 West of the Willamette Meridian, Washington, County, Oregon;. running thence North 130 feet to the center of a ditch; thence East 3 feet; Thence South 130 feet to a point, which said point is 3 feet East of the point of beginning of the tract of land herein described; thence West to the point of beginning. It was pointed out that the cost of the land is only 5l5.00 above the cost of the easements and other expense that would have been ne necessary had we not bought the land. C.L.Osborne moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that The District offer Mr. Gunther X100.00 dollars earnest money when the contract is signed, two hundred dollars after six months and the balance after one year, at an interest rate of $ %.
