11/10/1954 - Minutes One Hundred and Twenty Third Regular Meeting Tigard Water District Tigard, Oregon November 10, 1954 Present:- C.E.Janoe., President, C.L.Osborne, H.J.Heffron, D.W.Proebstel, Commissioners, J.P.Lohrenz, Supt., C.E.Wheelock Atty., and John L. Fredrick Jr. of Art Vincent Co. A motion was made by C.L.Osborne and seconded by H.J.Heffron that Ernest H. Masters Public Accountant at 311 N.W. Canyon Road Beaverton Oregon, audit the books of the Tigard Water District for the fiscal year 1953 and 1954. The motion carried. A motion was made by C.L.Osborne and seconded by H.J.Heffron that the water rates not be ammended at the present time. The motion carried. H.J.Heffron moved and D.W.Proebstel seconded that we transfere the compre- hensive liability insurance from Stevens and Brewster of Portland Oregon to JOHN L. Fredricks Jr. of Art Vincent Company of Tigard, Oregon. It was decided that better servive could be rendered by the local agent. The motion carried. C.L.Osborne moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that December 6, 1954 be desig- nated as general election day of the Tigard Water District. The election is to held in the Tigard Grade School from $ A.M. to t P.M. and futher resolved that notices of election be posted by the Superintendent in three popular places on or by November 20th. 1954, and Futher resolved that official and sample ballots be printed, also that the three lady clerks of election be hired, also that five nomination petitions for the five year term of Commissioner and the annexation of property to the District be made up and twenty five names of legal voters residing ix* in the District in- cluding their addresses be secured? and Futher resolved that the nomination petitions be submitted to the President and Secretary of the Board, as recipients of petitions to make sure that the signers of the petitions are true electors, also on December 6, 1954 at $ o'clock P.M. that three members of the Board be present at the election place to count the ballots as provided by law. The above resolutions passed. At a legal meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Tigard Water District, held November 10, 1954, the following resolutions were presented and unanimously adopted: ,�.�, RESOLVED: That the TigardnDistrict approve the petition for the annex- ation by it of the following described property: Beginning at a point on the se section line 10$1. 74 feet westoof the Southeast corner of Section 3, T2S, R1W. ,and running thence north 0 11' west 67$.22 feet to the south line of the north half of the SE-I of the SE-I of said Section 3: thence west to a point which is 198 feet east of the southwest corner of the north i of the SE-I of the SE-* of said Section 3: Thence north to the mak north line of the SE- of said Se-lof said section 3: thence west to the Southwest corner of the of the Se-I of said Section 3;; thence north to the north lineof SE-I of the said Section 3: thence west to the k corner on the west line of said Section 3; thence south i mile to the southwest corner of said Section3: thence east along the south line of said Section 3 to the place of beginning.
