01/08/1957 - Minutes ONE HUNDRED THIRTY SECOND REGULAR MEETING TIGARD WATER DISTRICT TIGARD OREGON January 6, 1957 Present:. C.E.Jan©• president, Sam Graham A.J.Chaves, Leonard L. Nodland, R.J.Peters Commissioners, J.P.Graham, Supt., Ivan Jack, Mrs Chandler and J.O.Johnson. The meeting was called to order in the regular manner by the Pres- ident. The President stated that during the year that the members of the Board address the chair before stetting to talk. Ivan Jack Chairman of the Consulting Committee of the Community Center discussed several matters pertaining to the Center Activities. He stated that all the different committees were in accord, as to the management, operation and rates. The matter of Who would sign the checks for the Center were discussed. THEN:* A.J.Chavez moved and Leonard L. Nodland seconded that the Custodi- an sign the cheeks of the Center, and countersigned by the Chair- man of the Consulting Committee, ALSO; That the expenditures of the Center are not to excede the amount in The Tigard Community Fundoq ALSO; That no purchase or expenditure shall be concured in excess of the funds on hand, with out the approval of the Tigard Water Board. The motion carried. A. J. Chaves moved and R.J.Peters seconded that the Tigard Water District Board accept the Consulting Committee as appointed by the Fire Counsel. The members of the Consulting Committee consists of Ivan Jack Chairman, Mrs M . Chandler and C. E. Janos. The motion Carried. Atty. J.O.Johnson was given the floor and he presented two pro- posals to the Board for study, as follows:- 1. That the billing of the Sanitary District be handled by the clerks of the Tigard Water District. 2. That the Sanatary District be permitted to use water for settling the dirt in the sewer ditches during construction. After discussing the matter Leonard L.Nodland moved and Sam Graham seconed that the Tigard Water District Board give Atty. J.O.Johnson authority to take the matter up with our Atty. C. E. Wheelock on the the two above proposals. The motion carried. Sam Graham moved and Leonard Nodland seconded that 112661.74 be with drawn for the Tax Fund and deposited in the General Fund. The motion carried. This is to replace money spent for bonds and interest. A motion was made by Sam Graham and seconded by EIEIZINEA R.J.Peters that the Secretary of the Board be given authority as an alternate to sign the checks of the District. A.J.Chavez is the Secretary. The motion carried. Leonard L.Nodland moved and A.J.Chaves seconded that the Title of our Savings Account which is used for the purpose of paying off Bonds and Interns be changed to Tigard Water District Tax Fund. 269 B.
