11/17/1938 - Minutes SIXTH REGULAR MEETING REGULAR MEETING, November 17, 1938: The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Tigard Water District, Washington County, Oregon, was held at Johnson Lumber Company office, ° Tigard, at 7:30 P.M., November 17, 1938. Present: Chairman Johnson and Commissioners Leslie, Vincent, Johnston and Lewis. Minutes of meeting of October 1, October 20, and October 27, 1938, approved. Report of Superintendent for October, 1938, received and filed. Annual Election: ORDERED, that the annual election be held on Monday, Dec- ember 5, 1938, at Tigard High School, within the District; that the election officers be, Dan Jones, Chairman, Ethel Wood, Tudge, and Florence M. Frewing, Judge; that provision be made for the election of one commissioner for the regular term. ORDERED, Further, that the secretary prepare and post proper and legal not- ice, notify said election officers of their appointment, receive nominations for said officd of commissioner, prepare and furnish official ballots, poll- book, tally sheet, returns and supplies, and do all things necessary to the legal conduct of said election. --- Carried. Advance Payment : ORDERED, that advance payment of $5.00 must be paid before err.• tap is made. --- Carried. Superintendent Reported (First Report) 50 meters in operation; Water Bill& 6 195.00 Collected 182.60 New applications10.00 Superintendent's Bond--Commissioner Vincent directed to obtain bond in amount of $1000 on District Superintendent. Supt's Report Forms: Standard form adopted, and monthly report ordered. Meters: ORDERED, that the Neptune Trident meter be adopted for District use, and that C. E. Carter, Engineer, is hereby directed to purchase Trident meters as needed. --- Carried. Rights-of-'Nay: ORDERED, that C. E. Carter, Engineer, is hereby authorized to obtain arrangements for railroad crossings, and foe easement from Mr. Brown, end Maninto Avenue to cross two railroads. --- Carried. Regular meetings: ORDERED, that regular meetings of this Board shall h ere- rr after be held at Bank of Tigard, at 7:30 P.M., on the third Thursday in each month. • --- Carried.
