03/16/1939 - Minutes TENTH REGULAE METING REGULAR MEETING, March 16, 1939 : The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Tigard Water District, Washington County, Oregon, was held at The First Bank of Tigard, Tigard, Oregon, at 7:30 P.M., March 16, 1939. Present: Chairman Johnson and Commissioners Leslie, Vincent, and Lewis. • Minutes of meeting of February 16, 1939, approved. Report of Superintendent for February, 1939, received and filed. tins Easement--Brown, et ux to Tigard dater District, recorded February 18, 1939, Book 178-291. --Filed. S. P. & S. Ry. Permit to lay pipe under tracks. --Filed. Resignation of Ed J. Johnston as Commissioner of Tigard dater District, as of February 27, 1939, accepted. RESOLVE), that whereas Ed. J. Johnston has given his time without charge to the advancement of the District, as a member of this board, a vote of thanks be tendered M.r. Johnston. Appointment of Gus Sehubring: Whereas the resignation of Ed. J. Johnston has created a vacancy on this board, Mr. Gus Schubring is hereby appointed to succeed Mr. Johnston as commissioner of Tigard Water District, to serve until his successor is elected and qualifies. --Carried. "toe Larger Meters: ORDERED, that larger installations during WPA construct- ion be placed at cost of material plus $2.00. --Carried. Bond of Superintendent : Commissioner Vincent authorized to obtain the required bond for the District Superintendent. State Highway Commission Permit for all construction, received. Filed. Mr. Heppner's application, heretofore discussed, to have the District lay line on his private right-of-way to his home. ORDERED, that ivir. Heppner be given a service connection at the highway, but the District could not build any part of the line on private land. ---Carried.
