Engineer Carter spoke of the future of Tigard' s Water Supply. The important point brought out by Mr. Carter was that the Commission must decide upon which source of water it is to use in the future; the choice being between wells or Bull Run Water . The question was then asked of Mr. Carter, "What were our immediate prospects for water, principally this summer' s supply?" The picture he painted was very discouraging. However, if materials arrive earlier than expected and work progresses on the Metzger main, the situation may be alleviated considerably. The discussion that followed brought out that the Commission was 100% for the choice of Bull Run water supply. The next important point to be decided upon was our own underground system, as well as a reservoir system for emergency supply and the extent of our growth in this vicinity. The ensuing discussion brought out the fact that the Commissioners were un- aninously in favor of preparing for the future and , therefore, passed a resolution initiated by Commissioner Hamilton, seconded by Commissioner Anieker to retain the services of Mr. Carte; to, compile statistics and layout for our future water supply,also- to make tentative estimates .
