05/20/1946 - Minutes TWENTY-THIRD REGULAR MEETING
MAY 20, 1946,
Meeting held at the Tigard Grade School at 8:00
o ' clock, evening of May 20th.
PRESENT:
Chairman Cook, Commissioners Anicker, Barber , Dietrich
,,,, and Hamilton.
Meeting opened and a committee of Tigard citizens were
heard from pertaining to the present water supply. Their questions
were answered by Attorney Chinook and Engineer Carter.
Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved .
Account and Collector' s report read and approved .

Auditor Ammacker explained what it would cost to audit
the books provided there was no special work needed . The
charges were $100.00 per year and any unforseen work would be
w charged for at ; 25.00 per day. Commissioner Barber moved that
we retain the services of Mr. Ammacker to make audit for period
July 1, 1944 until June 30th, 1946 - seconded by Hamilton -
carried 5 to O.
Mr. Carter submitted report of progress on proposed
or future pipe line and reservoir to be laid by Tigard ;dater
District when conditions permit . He further pointed out the
three or four most desirable pieces of property for the
construction of the reservoir . The discussion following Mr.
Carter's report brought out that we should try to secure the
most desirable piece of property at a figure not over ; 1,000 .00 .
This suggestion carried 5 to 0 .
Was moved by r, seconded by Hamilton that we
adopt same schedule for water use as Metzger has ; that being
$1 .50 for the first 300 cubic feet, 40cents for the next 100
cubic feet, over 400 cubic feet 01.00 per 100 , over 700 cubic
feet 41.50 per 100 .
The question was asked of Mr. Carter about what it
would cost for the laying and construction of the contemplated
pipe line and reservoir running from Metzger's 8" line into the
reservoir then on into the Tigard system. This figure was
estimated at 475,500 .00 .
Motion made by Cook that meeting be adjourned -
seconded by Anicker. Carried .
