Present: Chairman Cook, Board Members Selliken, Osborne, Barber,
Attorney Hathaway, Built. Dickson, Mrs. Hall.
Meeting called to order by Chairman Cook, and each rember presented
with an agenda of the meeting.
Moved by Mr. Selliken, seconded by Mr. Osborne that minutes of meeting
of August 11th be approved as read — motion carried.
Moved by Mr. Selliken, seconded by Mr. Osborne and carried that account and
collector's reports of August and delinquent report of September 8th be
accepted as read.
Moved by Mr. Osborne, seconded by Mr. Selliken, carried, that the Superin—
tendent see Mr.M Edmunds and advise him that unless 01.00 shut—off service
is paid by him before the next meeting, water will be shut off and an
additional $1.00 charge made before water turned on again.
�... On Jess Coppers meter, consensus was that user be allowed to pay x;5.00 a
month as meter installation.
Moved by Mr. Osborne, seconded by Mr. Barber, carried that Mrs. Hall be
authorized to write J. O. Johnson for $4.00 owing on Don Batchelor bill,
since owner of building is responsible for bills unpaid.
Moved by Mr. Selliken, seconded by Mr. Osborne that final report prepared
by Mrs. Hall for year July 1, 1947 to June 30, 1948 be accepted. Motion
carried.
Meter installation reports for June, July and August accepted as read.

*Moved by Mr. Osborne, seconded by Mr. Selliken that check be written to
Charlton Laboratories, in amount oi 020-40H, covering water tests which
showed wrong kind of paint used to paint tank. Motion carried.
*3 Motion carried to authorize Mr. Selliken on recommendation of Mr. Lenz

* -to make an earnest money ;ayment on a truck. Moved and seconded and
carried to authorize 4p25.00 check be written for earnest money, truck to
cost $500.00 or less.
***Informal approval received by Mrs. Hall from Mr. Cook, Mr. Osborne and
Mr. Selliken to write check for Mr. Dickson for $22.15 covering mileage
and phone calls for month of August, 1948, which Mrs. Hall had overlooked
including in list presented.
Attorney Wheelock has informed us through Mr. Cook that we could not be shut
off of the right of way on streets vacated. Therefore, Mrs. Winter is to be
charged $40.00 for her meter and informed accordingly.

Supt. Dickson reported nine fire hydrants are now installed in Tigard - one
each on Johnson Ave., Walnut Ave., Fonner Road, Butler Ave. , Park Ave., Highway
217, Tiederman Road and two on Burnham Ave.
The people on both sires of i3utler rvenue have signed a petition to come into
the ,,atcr District. Petition turned over to the attorney to handle . a:r.
Hathaway presented proposed resolution of the Doan-, to accept the petation.
Lotion carried that resoluti,;n be adopted anu that annexing of lots 32 and 33
be submitted to the electorate on December b, 1948.
Lotion carried to lay on the table :aattu, of issuing bonds to finance new storage
tank. i:.owed and seconded to lay on table matter of pouring of concrete slab
pending receipt of specifications from i.r. Osborne. hr. Osborne was askeu to
write specification for concrete slab support for pump and to make copies for
each of the Board. Slab to be finished size of 12 x 24 per informal agreement
of the hoard.

July 1, 1948 and to be brought up to date.
