10/13/1948 - Minutes FIFTY FIRST REGULAR METTING Tigard Water District October 13, 1948 Motion carried to approve minutes of September 9th meeting as read. Motion carried to accept delinquent report, cash and disbursement report, and meter installation report, as read. Motion made to give Mrs Winter the meter which has already been installed in exchange for a perpetual easement to the dater District for the existing pipe line across her property, together with right of entry for purposes of maintaining the pipe line. Strasser Drilling Co. 487.50 wll76.97 Mr. Osborne reported on his findings regarding the pump and concrete foundation construction. He also brought up findings on checking water at tank - no trace of oil in the top of the tank, but found a dirty gray scum on side of tank at bottom . Mr. Dickson stated this scum breaks off from side of tank and mixes with water. Mr. Dickson instructed to het sample and send to State board of Health for analysis. Mr. Selliken suggested we secure another tank like the one we have, put it up on timbers off the ground and use one of the tanks as an auxiliary tank, so one tank could be emptied and cleaned and painted, while the other was in operation. Mr. Osborne to look into securing tank through r'tar Assets Administration. 4 Motion made that a suitable ventilating screen be installed on the water tank. Motion carried. Mr. Osborne pres bad specifications on concrete block for pump. It was informally decided to have copies made for all Commissioners and to secure bids from local cement men on installation.
