FIFTH SIXTH REGULAR METING
Tigard Water District
March 9, 1949
Present: Chairman Cook, Board Members Selliken, Beals, Lenz, Boennighausen,
Attorney Wheelock, Supt. Dickson, Mrs. Hall.
Meeting was called to order by Mr. Cook and minutes of the previous meeting
of February 9th, 1949 were approved as read.
Instructions were given Us follows on delinquent accounts :
Acct. 114 - charge the entire bill to Leland Ariss and not to the tenant and
so advise him by letter.
Joe Edmund - Mr. John Lenz will check of\Mr. Edmund - thinks he works at
Wentworth & Irwin Company. Mr. Lenz will advise Mrs. Hall.
Moved and seconded that $1.00 charge made to L. V.Hesgard and Joe Edmund be
canceled. Motion carried.
Moved and seconded reports be accepted and placed on file, including cash
& disbursement report, delinquent and meter installation reports.
Mr. Cook advised that Mr. Bushnell has word from his insurance company that
they would give him a reduction in his rate if there was a 4" main at his
plant with 100 lbs. pressure.
Motion made and carried that we authorize the Superintendent to check on
costs from Maclntyre & Rosebraugh, who should furnish us with an estimate
for laying 4" main down Scheckla Avenue.
Mrs. Hall was instructed to write to the Insurance Commissioner, Seth Thompson,
Salem, Oregon and ask him. status of insurance rates in Tigard.
It was decided informally that members of the Board would make an inspection
of the Water District cn April 2nd.
Motion made and carried authorizing the Superihtendent to take the pick-up
truck to the sign company and have the name of the Tigard Water District put
on the truck.
Mr. Wheelock was asked to check on the rebate of Federal tax on the pick-up.
Motion made and carried that bills be paid as follows:

*Mr. O'Halloran's check held up until next month for payment, since heat was not
furnished for the March meeting.
Mr. Dickson reported on rates charge, well, etc. at Sherwood, Hillsboro,
and Forest Grove, also on the condition of the well at Tigard.
Motion made and carried to ask the R. J. Strasser Drilling Company to
test the well at Tigard.
Matter of purchasing the Geophone was laid on the table until more informa-
tion could be secured on a different model.
Motion made to adjourn at 10:15 p.m.
