Present : Chairman Cook, Board Members Selliken, Lenz, Beals, Boennighausen,
Attoryney Wheelock, Supt. Dickson, Mrs. Hall.
Meeting was called to order by Mr. Cook and minutes of previous meeting of
December 8th were approved as read.
Mr. Cook advised that Mr. Albert Boennighausen, Mr. John Lenz, and Mr. Warren
Beals, being duly elected Commissioners to serve for their respective terms
were qualified and took the oaths of office on January 4, 1949 and are now
qualified to act as Commissioners. Oaths of office were placed in-the minute
book and made a part of the minutes of Jan. 12, 1949.
The first business of the new year was the organization of the Board. Mr.
Harold Cook was nominated foal Chairman and the no4tions were closed. The
Secretary was instructed to cast a unanimous ballot for Mr. Cook as Chairman.
Mr. Selliken was nominated as Secretary and Mr. Beals as Treasurer. Nominations
were closed for these offices and the Secretary was instructed to cast a unanimous
ballot for these offices, Mr. Selliken to be Secretary and Mr. Beals, Treasurer.
It was moved by Beals and seconded by Selliken that the cash and disbursement report,
the meter installation report and the delinquent accounts report be accepted as
read - motion carried.
Letter was read from the United States National Bank regarding charges for
paying bond and interest. Mr. Wheelock was asked to check into the method of
payment of bonds.
Mr. Dickson reported on leak adjacent to the Crawford driveway, and the grade
school leak.
Motion made by Selliken, seconded by Lenz that we ask the Neptune Meter Company
to send out an expert to check the Grade School meter and make the necessary
repairs.
Motion made by Lenz, seconded by Selliken that the deposit to the savings account
be increased to the sum of $200.00 a month to cover bond and interest payments.
Mbtion carried.
Moved and seconded that bills be paid as follows:

Motion carried to pay above bills.
Mr. Wheelock discussed the manner in which the Water District might take
on the street lighting for Tigard. It was informally agreed to lay the
matter on the table until it is brought up to the Water District by the
business men.
Motion made by Beals, seconded by Selliken that the Superintendent ascertain
the cost price of an adequate leak tester, both for purchase and as a rental
item. Motion carried.
Moved and seconded we adjourn at 9:20 p.m. h. carried.
