Present: Chairman Cook, Board Members Set liken, Beals, Boennighausen,
Supt. Dickson, Attorney Wheelock, Mrs. Hall
Absent : Board Member Lenz
Meeting was called to order by Mr. Cook and minutes of the meeting of
April 13th and special meeting of April 27th were read and approved.
The cash and disbursement report, meter installation and delinquent
reports were discussed and motion made to place them on file as presented.
Mr. MacIntyre of Maclntyre & Rosebraugh reported on the elevation of the
site, advising it was approximately the same as the present well site
with only the matter of 1/2 foot difference to secure same elevation.
We were advised Mr. Gunther would rive us any property at suitable eleva-
tion in the nut grove. Rise from the road to the line of property to be
purchased is approximately 80 feet. Mr. Strasser would still approve
the site for drilling, as stated in his letter to us.
Mr. Gunther is willing to grade a road in if we will gravel it.
Mr. Wheelock made up an agreement for the Gunthers to sign, to cost us
$25.00 for the purpose of going on and drilling and if we don't get what
we want, we have to clean up the place. If the well is satisfactory,
an additional amount of $475.00 is due, making a total cost of $500.00,
including easement to get to the site. A description is to be secured by
the Engineers of the site for insertion in the agreement and information
as to Mrs. Gunther's given name. We can have up to 1/2 acre.
Motion made that the Board accept the offer of Mr. and Mrs. Gunther to drill
upon their property at the place recommended by the Engineers, the Board to
pay to the Gunthers the sum of $25.00 for granting of said privilege, and
if an: adequate supply of water suitable for domestic use is secured, they
will receive an additional $475.00 on delivery to the District of proper
deed of conveyance and a perpetual easement from Gaarde Avenue to said site
for purpose of laying mains and ingress and egress to serve the facilities,
the site to contain approximately 1/2 acre. Motion carried.
Motion made and carried that the Chairman and Secretary of the Board be
authorized to enter into contract setting forth the agreement for the
District with Mr. and Mrs. Gunther.
Motion made to instruct Maclntyre & Rosebraugh to proceed to lay out the
property to be purchased by the District from Mr. and Mrs. Gunther.
Motion carried.
Mr. Dickson reported that he had signed up users for water along the right
of way as follows:
4 on Christenson Road
5 on Walnut Avenue
3 on Gaarde Avenue.
1r. Cole also has pipe laid about 1/4 mile which he would turn over to the
dater District.
Moved, seconded and carried that we authorize payment of $25.00 for
signing of agreement t,ith the Gunthers. Motion carried.

Motion made and passed that the Board would negotiate with Mr. Strasser
on drilling the well to a depth of not less than 350 feet for n of less
than 200 gallons per minute of water suitable for domestic use, drilling
to go deeper if it seemed feasible to get more water.
