06/08/1949 - Minutes FIFTY NINTH REGULAR MEETING Tigard Vater District June 8, 1949 Present: Chairman Cook, Board Members Selliken, Beals, Boennighausen, Supt. Dickson, Attorney Wheelock, Mrs. Hall Absent: Board Member Lenz Meeting called to order by Mr. Cook and minutes of previous regular meeting of May 11th and budget meeting of May 11th wereapproved as read. The cash and disbursement report, meter installation and delinquent reports were approved as presented. Mr. Lenz requested the Board to act on his resignation. Motion was made and carried that resignation of Mr. John Lenz be accepted with regret. The office of one Commissioner was declared vacant. Mr. Selliken proposed the name oft ax Lewis. Mr. Boennighausen proposed the name of J. P. Lohrenz. Motion made and carried that nominations be closed. Mrs. Hall and Mr. Dickson were appointed tellers. Three ballots were cast for Mr. Lohrenz and one ballot for Max Lewis. Mr. Lohrenze was declared duly elected and arrived at the meeting in a few minutes, at which time he was duly sworn in by the Chairman of the Board. National Bank 661.25 787 Maclntyre & Rosebraugh 49.50 X1499.34 Mr. Anicker of the Tigard High School Board of Directors called on Mr. Cook and stated they would like to have a connection from the water main on High School Avenue to the athletic field at the high school. They want to water the field down during the summerand provide drinking facilities - they would like a free connection and free water for this purpose. "'"' Motion made and carried we are willing to make a meter connection for the High School, they to pay for the connection and we will supply up to 600 cu. ft. of free water, the high school to pay regular rates thereafter, the Board feeling the action is warranted because it is a community project.
