07/13/1949 - Minutes SIXTIETH DdGUL..R FETING Tigard ;dater District July 13, 1949 Present: Chairman Cook, Board Members elliken, Beals, Boennighausen, Supt. Dickson, Attorney 'Wheelock, Mrs. Hall. Meeting was called to order by Mr. Cook tnd minutes of June 8th and June '63rd were reed. Motion was made end carried to approve minutes as read. First business discussed was electi m of an Asst. Secretary to succeed Mrs. Hall, who resigned effective July 15, 1949. The following candidates were interviewed and discussed. Mrs. Ruth Godfrey, Mr. Fred Olson, Mrs. Lorraine Nelson, Mrs. Jim Rivorman, Mr. Ward, and Mr.s. Ceorge Leslie. After consid,.:rable discussion and an additional talk with Mrs. Nelson, it was moved seconded t'F=t Mrs. Pelson be elected as Clerk end Asst. Secretary of the Tigard .later District. Motion carried. The cash and disbursement report ard meter installation report were reviDed motion mrde and carried to p]ace them on f; le. It was reported that the new well vs s now three hundred forty—three feet deep and producing two hundred twenty gallons per minute. Report from State Board of Health indicated water was pure. Motion was made and carried authorizing R. J. Strasser to drill another fifty feet in the well. Motion carried. Cancelled bond No. 4, agreement with R. J. Strasser Drilling Company, right—of— way agreements with Oregon Electric, Southern Pacific, and Browns ' were given to Mr. Beals July 13 by Mrs. Hall to be put in the safe deposit box of the Tigard Water District, Tigard Branch U. S. National Bank. I" Motion made and seconded that Mr. John Reiter, Electrician, be emfloyed to wire our pump at Well No. 1 according to the State Code. Motion carried. The attached resolution for sale of general obligation bonds in the amolont of twenty thousand dollars(020,000.00) is hereby made a part of these minutes.
