March 14, 1951.
Present- C.F.Selliken, Fresident , 1-aymond Meyers and C .L.Osborne,
Commissioners, J.P . Lohrenz 311-)t. Ir Fraude, Mr Macintyre and
Swartz. Commissioners Darwin Shinn and M.D.Lewis nere absent.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and Commissioner C .L.
Osborne moved and Commissioner Raymond ieyer seconded that the Minutes
be accepted as read. The motion carried.
The first part of the meeting was given over todiscussing with
Swartz of theTigPrd Grade School of the wilich they claim L.s,
to high. The School Board is of the dpiftion that the meter does not
register proeerly. Although this matter is not a function of the water
Board Commissioner C.L.Osborne stated that he and the 3u7t J.P.Lohrenz
would examine tne piping in the School Building and see if they can
determine the cause of the excessive use of water.
Mr. hiacintyre the Engineer for theBull Mountain ..,:xtension, explained
in detail about the o-oeration end design of the extension. He stated
that the °aeration is above expectation and that the systeem is sat-
isfactory. He stated that there was no written contract for his service,
but by verbal agreement he was to receive five percent of the cost of
the system. Mr. Macintyre was paid 200.00 in October 1950. He agreed
to close the agreement with an additional payment of 4500.00.
Commissioneri C.L.Osborne moved and Commissioner Raymond Meyers seconded
that Fir. Macintyre be paid the 000.00 and that he is to see that the
road is put back in a satisfactory condition. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner C.L.Osborne and seconded by Commissioner
Raymond Meyers that:the Board accent the Blanket Bond pr000sal for the
District . The Treasurer is to be bonded separately in the amount of
4000.00, and all the others to be covered by a blanket bond. The
blanket bond does not have to be renewed when a change is made in the
personal. The motion carried.
Commissioner C.L.Osborne moved and Commissioner Raymond Meyers seconded
that the Supt. J.F.Lorenz be authorized to attend the water course of
instruction to be given at Corw,llis, Oregon March 19.20. The motion
carried. The board is to pay his expense of the trip.
The Supt J.P.Lohhenz was instructed by the Board to securely lock the
valve on the master meter which connects to the Metzger water supply
line.
Commissioner C.L.Osborne moved and Commissioner Raymond seconded that
the Supt J.P.Lohrenz be instructed to purchase five fire hydrants at
a cost of - 121.00 each, plus an additional installation expense, to
install five fire hydrants on the Bull Mountain pi-:)e extension. The
motion carried.
Commissioner C.L.Osborn moved and Commissioner Raymond Meyers seconded
,....- that the following bills be paid. The motion carried.
