11/14/1951 - Minutes "� Eighty Seventh Regular Meeting Tigard Water District November 14, 1951 Present:- C. F. Selliken, President, Raymond Meyers, Darwin Shinn, C. L. Osborne, Commissioners, J. P. Lohrenz Supt. , C. E. Wheelock Atty. and a visitor Mr. D. W. Proebstel. The minutes of the previous meeting were read, and Commissioner C.L. Osborne moved and Commissioner Darwin Shinn seconded that they be approved as read. The motion carried. The list of delinquent accounts was discussed. Although the list was longer than usual, and some of them not contacteyl, the progress made was satisfactory to the Board. It was agreed that a two inch service pipe be run to the Chemical Plant on Pine Street. They want a larger pipe for fire protection. They want to use a 3/4 inch meter temporarily. 414100 Commissioner C. L. Osborne moved and Commissioner Raymond Meyers seconded that the Tigard Water District pay for one half the cost of connecting a 3/4 in. pipe from the dead end pipe on Errol Street to the pipe on treet, to do away with the dead end. Since the pipe has to e lain alond a private road belonging to Mrs. Verne Fourier, an easement from her will have to be signed before the work is done. The motion carried. Commissioner C. L. Osborne moved and Commissioner Raymond Meyers seconded that the Supt. J. P. Lohrenz contact the County Engineer Mr. Mac Intyre requesting a written statement be given the Board regarding the status of the installation on Pine Street. Also to supply the Board with an invoice for his sertices. After above statements are received a check will be given to the Atlass Con- struction Co. for construction work and to the engineer for his services, and to J. P. Lohrenza for over seeing the work. The motion carried. Commissioner C. L. Osborne moved and Commissioner Raymond Meyers seconded that the bills be paid. The motion carried. Details and directions were given by the Atty. C . E. Wheelock for the election of two Commissioners December 3 , 1951. The Atty. C. E. Wheelock suggested that theBoard canvass several office furniture storessuch a Smith Bro's Wax Co. to see if a used filing cabnet can be obtained instead of buying a new one. The President C. F. Selliken volunteered to do the canvassing. As there was no futher business Commissionerr Raymond Meyers moved and CommissionerDarwin Shinn seconded that the meeting adjourn. The motion carried.
