03/12/1952 - Minutes Ninety First Regular Meeting Tigard Water District March 12, 1952. Present;-C.L.Osborne, President, Raymond Meyers, George R. Young and D.W.Proebstel Commissioners,J.P.Lohrenz Supt. And C.E.Wheelock Aty. The minutes of the last meeting were read and they were approved as read. A motion was made by Commissioner Raymond Meyers and seconded by Com- missioner D.W.Proebstel that our Attorney C.E.Wheelock find out from the State Highway Commission if they will dig the ditches lay the pipe: and back fill on the highway widening project, if the Tigard Water District furnish the pipe and fittings. Also if we can reimburse the Highway Department at the rate of one hundred dollars 0100.00) per month plus intrest. The motion carried. The Board recommended that the Superintendent J.P.Lohrenz use the tires on the truck until this fall and then have them recapped. The question of how many stand by services we have was asked by Com- '4W missioner D.W.Proebstel. This was investigated by the clerk and it was found that we have only one stand by account, E.W.Bredemeir account #257. This account pays five dollars a year for one hundred feet (100feet) payable in advance. The bill should have been sent last October 1st. 1951. A bill was promptly sent and the customer has paid the bill. The list of the delinquent accounts was examoned and no instructions were given. The letter from the Boards former Pres. Mr. C.F.Selliken thanking the Board for the letter of appreciation which was sent him wa.s. read. The Superintendent J.P.Lohrenz read a letter from The Special School For Superintendents and after some discussion the Commissioners re- commended that the Supt. plan to attend one or two days and present his bill to cover the expense. The list of bills was examined. Commissioner Raymond Meyers moved and Commissioner George R. Young seconded That the bill be paid as listed. The motion carried. The Board instructed the Superintendent J.P.Lohrenz to canvass the people along the route of the proposed pipe line from Well #1 to the new High School being built on highway 217 and find out how many of them will sign to use water. The status of the Pine Street installation payments was discussed. They have delayed in making final payment. As there was no futher business Commissioner D.W.Proebstel moved and Commissioner Raymond Meyers seconded that the meeting adjourn. Themotion carried.
