04/09/1952 - Minutes Ninety Second Regular Meeting Tigard Water District April 9, 1952 Present:- C.L.Osborne, President, Raymond Meyers, George R. Young, D.W. Preebstel and Darwin Shinn Commissioners, J.P.Lohrenz, Supt. and C.E. Wheelock Atty. D.L.Gholson and A.H.Vincent Visitors. The meeting was opened in the regular manner by the president C.L. Osborne. The minutes of the previous meeting were read , and they were approved as read. Mr. D.L.Gholson was given the floor. He requested that the Board give him a statement of the amount each member of the Pine Street project owes. After discussion Commissioner Darwin Shinn moved and Commissioner D.W.Proebstel seconded that the attorney C.E.Wheelock write a letter to Mr. Gholson requesting that the balance due on the Pine Steet project be paid. The motion carried. Mr. A.H.Vincent was given the floor. His business was in connection with supplying water for his new home on Bull Mountain road. Since he is the only customer on the extension that will use the water for some time, it was decided that it would not be adviseable to install a four in main since the water would not be used fast enough and would become stale. The Board gave Mr Vincent permission to install a one .inch pipe. Mr. Vincent is to install and pay the cost of the line and then turn it over to the Tigard Water District. Mr Vincent instructed the Tigard Water District to install the line. The Supt. J.P.Lohrenz gave a brief report on the Water Supt's School held at Oregon State College. The Board was interested mostly in flu- arination of water. After some discussion it was decided not to do any thing about fluarineation of our water. The Supt. J.P.Lohrenz presented a request for one month's vacation. Two weeks with pay. He requested that the vacation start the 15th. of June 1952. Due to the widening of the Highway the Board felt that it would _. not be adviseable to set the date. Commissioner Darwin Shinn moved and `*.. Commissioner Raymond Meyers seconded that the Supt. J.P.Lohrenz be allow- ed two weeks vacation with pay and two weeks with out pay, the date to be set pending the status of the highway project. The motion carried. Commissioner D.W.Proebstel moved and Commissioner Darwin Shinn seconded that the bill be paid. The motion carried. As there was no futher business Commissioner Raymond Meyers moved and Commissioner DawigeSinn seconded that the meeting adjourn. The motion carried.
