Tigard Water District
November 12, 1952

The meeting was opened in the regular manner by the President.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The Supt. presented a complaint by Mr. Jack Dunlap, stating that his
meter was not registering properly and that he intended to have it
' testees by State Authorities. After some discussion about the matter
it was decided to table the matter.
A motion was made by D. W. Proebstel and seconded by George R. Young
J&
that we authorize the Atty. C. E. eellock, to inform the newly formed
Association of Water Districts that the Tigard Water' Board will sub-
scribe $25.00. The organization planns to secure better laws for the
protection and operation of the water districts.
A motion was made by George R. Young and seconded by D. W. Proebstel
that the Sec. canvass the last years judges of election and find out
if they will serve again this year. The motion carried. The judges
who served last year were , Gladis Meyers, Catheren Salmon, Eulila
Riverman, and alternate , Verne A. Mooter. After being canvassed they
all agreed to serve for this year. It was brought to the attention of
the Board that their pay for this year will be S.75 per hour.
The election of two Commissioners is to be held December the first at
the Tigard Grade School, Tigard, Oregon. The hours for the election will
be from eight o'oclock AM to eight o'oclock PM 1952. The candidates
selected by petition were C. E. Janoe for two years to serve out the
term of Raymond Meyers who moved out of the district and resigned, and
George R. Young to serve a term of five years.
The Board instructed C. E. Wheelock to run the election notice in the
local paper, type out the election notices and send them out for posting.
The Sec. was instructed to have printed fifty official and 100 sample
ballots for the election. These were printed in Tigard by Findley
Printing Co.
A motion was made by George R. Young and seconded by D. W. Proebstel
that the bills be paid as listed. The motion carried.
As there was n futher business George R. Youn1moved and D. W. Proebstel
seconded that the mee adjourn. The motion carried.
