Present, C.L.Osborne, - President, George R. Young, D.W.Proebstel, Darwin
Shinn, Raymond Meyers, Commissioners, J.P.Lohrenz Supt. , C.E.Wheelock Att,
The meeting was opened in the regular manner by the President.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
C.E.Wheelock advised that it is not necessary to advertise the Water
Board elections in the local papers.
A motion was made by Darwin Shinn and seconded by D.W.PrAstel that a
fifty dollar ($ 50.00) a month increase in salary be given J.P.Lohrenz
the Supt., effective December 1, 1952. The motion carried.
A motion was made by D.W.Proebstel and seconded by George R. Young that
the amount of money needed to pay for the Bond and intrest that is due,
be with drawn from the s4vings account and deposited in the general fund.

A motion was made by Darwin Shinn and seconded by D.W.Proebstel that the
Sec. find out the price of a suitable desk for the typewriter and report
the details to the Board at the January meeting. The motion carried.
The Board spent considerable time discussing the necessity of additional
water storage facilities at Well #2. It was pointed out that in case
of a bad fire or a prolonged power failure that our present capacity
might not be ample. Mr. Osborne stated that the SPAS railroad has a tank
on an abandoned rail road that is not in use and that it might be pro-
cured at practically junk value. It could be cut up with a torch and
transported to our property and reassembled. Mr. Osborne stated that
he is acquainted with one of the officials of the railroad and that he
will find out what price they ask. C.E.Wheelock told the Board about
a method of construction a contractor in Californis uses,cwho con-
structs swimming pools by using wire mesh and blowing concrete against
it, to the proper thickness. Mr. Wheelock stated that they seem to be
very durable and to stand the earth quake shocks in Californis very well.
Discussion of the above matter will be continued in subsequent meetings.
Raymond Meyers made a motion and D.W.Probstel secondad that the bills
be paid. The motion carried.
As there was no futher business D.W.Proebstel moved and Darwin Shinn
secondnd that the meeting adjourn. The motion carried.
