03/11/1953 - Minutes One Hundreth and Third Regular Meeting Tigard water District Tigard, Oregon March 11, 1953 Present; D.W.Proebstel President, George' R. Young, C. .Janoe, C.L. Osborne, and Darwin Shinn, Commissioners, J.P.Lohrenz Superintendent, C.E.Wheelock Attorney, visitors Mr. Sanders and Mr. Olson from Durham. The meeting was opened in the regurarr manner by the President. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The Superintendent inspected the water tank at Gales Creek and reported to the Board. The tank is 74 feet around and about 20 feet high. The Board instructed the Superintendent to find out from the Pacific :.rater ,orks Supply Co. what it would cost to cut up the tank, transport it to our site and set it up. The Superintendent asked the Board what he should charge for a second meter installation for Mr. Peterson on Christensen ;toad. Mr. Peterson is building several houses and he connected a 2 in pi}:e to our main on Christenson Road. He is out side the District. The rule established for installations of this kind is; a customer outside the District is to pay the cost of the installation pluss the cost of the meter. If he connects a second meter he is to receive credit for the difference be- tween the cost of his installation and the District's connection charge. In addition he also pays for the cost of the meter installation. The Attorney retorted that a type writer table has not been secured, but he thinks that one will come in soon. C.L.Osboren moved and C.E.Janoe seconder that the bills be paid as listed. The motion carried. The delinquent Account retort was gone over with the Superintendent. He reported the accounts that paid. After these were checked off the Board thought that the list was :not to bad. A committee consisting of Mr. Olson and Mr. Sanders from the Durham Community was given the floor. They wanted to find out all about how to obtain water for their district. After talking over the matter the Board advised them to find out how many connections there would be, and if they would install and pay for the pipe lines, or form a district and annex to the Tigard District. The committe was advised by the Board to take up the matter with the Engineer Mr. Maclntyre. The Board told them that they would supply them with watter. The Board discussed the matter of the proposed Tuallatin River Irregation and Flood Contrail program as outlined by the U.S. Engineers. As there was no futher business, C.E.Janoe moved and George R.
