The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
H. J.Heffron moved and Leonard Nodland seconded that C.E.Janoe and C.L.
Osborne be appointed as a committee from the Tigard Water District to
meet with the Board of Commissioners of the Tualatin Rural Fire Dis—
trict, to discuss withethem the proposals as outlined in the minutes
of the Tigard Water District at their meeting February 4, 1955. To
obtain from the Tualatin Rural Fire District Commissioners in writing
an agreement that they will maintain the building and the grounds around
it , and install a fire truck and other fire fighting equipment and to
maintain it. The motion carried.
H.J.Heffron moved and D.W.Proebstel seconded that if the Tualatin
Rural Fire District Commissioners approve the requests of our special
committee, that a special meeting of this Board be called, to authorize
spending $2250.00 for the purchasing of the proposed land* and any other
matters pertaining there to. The motion carried.
Atty. C.E.Wheelock told the Board that the Portland Federal Loan Bank
of Portland Oregon has on deposit the sum of 0000.00 to be used to
pay the cost of extending the six inch main on Murdock Avenue over to
the property of Mr. Kable. The fund will not be deposited to the account
of the Tigard Water District, but arrangements are being made with the
Bank that the Supt. together with Mr. Kable shall with draw the funds
as needed.
C.E. Janos moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that Mr. Kable be authorized
to charge and be properly reimbursed for other users who connect on to
the line.. Also be reimbursed a reasonable amount if the line is ex-
tended, for a period of ten years as prescribed by law. The motion
carried.
C.E.Janoe moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that the Supt be authorized to
purchase the pipe for Mr Kabele, Dr. H.H.Foskett, Watkins Ave. Extention
and 500 feet of four inch for stock. The pipe will come from the
factoy by car load and the car will be spotted in Tigard. The motion
carried.
C.E.Janoe moved and Leonard Nodland seconded that the Supt. J.P.Lohrenz
be authorized to attend the 1955 Water Works Operator's Short School
to be held at Corvallis, Oregon March 21, 22, and 23 , 1955. Also that
to pay his expense while there, including lodging, meals, traveling
and incidentals. The motion carried.
C.E.Janoe moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that the Watkin's Avenue pipe
line be extended from the end of H. Cook's line through Mr. Beyer's
property to connect on to the main at High Way 99W. It is under stood
that Mr Beyer will grant an easement to cross his property. Mr. Beyers.
also planns to develope the property along the line filter;. The motion
carried.
D.W.Proebstel moved and Leonard Nodland seconded that the bills be paid
as listed. The motion carried.
As there was no futher business D.W.Prebstel moved and C.E.Janoe seconded
that the meeting a ourn. The motion carried.
