05/11/1955 - Minutes One Hundred Twenty Nineth Regular Meeting of the Tigard Water District. Tigard, Oregon May 11, 1955. Present- C.L.Osborne, President, H.J.Heffron, Leonard Nodland, D.W. Proebstel, C.E.Janoe, Commissioners, J.P.Lohrenz, Supt. and a Committee headed by Mr. E. Peterson. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. C.E.Janoe moved and H.J.Heffron seconded that the Secretary write a letter to the Atty. C.E.Wheelock stating that the matters pretainigg to the proposed annexation of the District ajecent to Fonner Road has been needlesly delayed for a period of more than seven months. The Board is being erroneously blamed for the delay and the delay is ser- iously offending the good will of the district. The Boardwishes that the details connectd with the annexation of the proposed district be carried out at once. The motion carried. Mr. E. Peterson, and his committee was given the floor to discuss the delay, and its effect upon their plans. The committe stated that there will be constructed twenty or more houses in the area, but they do not want to go ahead with construction until the question of annexation is settled. The Board stated that the delay was no fault of their's, but that of our Atty. The Board assured them that the matter would be given prompt attention. H.J.Heffron moved and Leonard Nodland seconded that C.L.Osborne and C.E.Janoe be appointed as a committee of two, to call upon our Aty. C. E.Wheelock in person, to get the special election date for the annex- ation set. The motion carried. C.E.Janoe oved and H.J.Heffron deconded that rather than hold up con- structioebrthe proposed area, that effective as of May 11, 1955, those who install meters at the out side of the district rate, will be refunded the excess charge the date the area votes into the Tigard Water District. The motion carried. C.E.Janoe moved and LEonard Nodland seconded, sanctioning the action of the President and Treasurer in signing the emergency checks numbers 2404 and 2405. The motion carried. D.W.Proebstel moved and C.E.Janoe seconded that the bills be paid as listed. The motion carried. H.J.Heffron moved and Leonard Nodland seconded that the meeting adjourn. The motion carried.
