08/24/1955 - Minutes • SPECIAL CALLED MEETING TIGARD WATER DISTRIST TIGARD OREGON August 24, 1955 Present, C.L.Osborne, President, Leonard Nodland, C.E.Hanoe, Sam Graham, Commissioners, J.P.Lohrinz, Supt. , and C.E.Wheelock, Atty. The meeting was held in the offices of the Tigard Transit Mix Co. Tigard, Oregon. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the questions that the letter written to the water users on Bull Mountain regarding the sale of water rights. caused. The principal question was if the Board of the Tigard Water District wanted to let on or two users on the Bull Mountain line, purchase all the remaining water rights, or allow each to buy one or two rights, thus allowing other users on the line to purchase rights. Mrs. Beatrice Zednick one of the original signers of the Bull Mountain Contract and her associates, purchase the eight remaining rights on the contract, and five of the five hundred dollar rights. 0364.$7 was accepted and deposited in the Bank by the Supt. in payment of the above shares. After much discussion about the transaction the Atty. C.E. Wheelock advised the Board that they would have to stand back of the Suptts action as the transaction had been completed.. Atty. C.E.Wheelock advised the Supt. and the Board not to accept payment for the remaing shines but to accept applications for the shares, and consider them at the regular meeting in September. The Board would then be able to determine what action to take. The Board accepted the above suggestion. The Supt. J.P.Lohrenz made a report on the analysis of the water in Bushnellts well. The water passed the test for domestic use. C.E. Janoe moved and Leonard Nodland seconded, that the Supt be authorized 4"- to hire R.M.Wade & Co. of Portland Oregon to run a capacity teat on the well to determine the amount water that can be pumped from it.
