One Hundred Thirty Third Regular Meeting Tigard Water District Tigard Oregon February 12, 1957 Present, C. M. Janoe, President, Sam Graham, A.J.Chaves, Leonard L.Iodland, R.J.Peters, Commissioners, J.P.Lohrens Supt. , C.H.W'heel- ock Atty. , i.t.Helm, H.ii.Han en from Walnut Avenue, and A re��resent- ive from ull Mountain. The meeting was opened in the regular manner by the President. The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. A motion was made by A.J. shaves, and seconded by Leonard L. Modland that the Superintendent be authorized to attend the Water Works Operators Short School to be held in Corvallis Oregon March lath. to 20th. inclusive, with his expenses paid. The motion carried. A motion was made by T,J. Peters and seconded by A.J.Chavez that the Venetian Blinds for the office be purchased from the Mult' mah Venetian Blind Co. of MultSmmb of Multnomah Oregon at approximately $41.50. The motion carried. Amotion was made by Leonard L.Nodland and seconded by Sam Graham that signs be painted on both sides of the truck reading Tigard Water District ME9-1554, also that a sign be painted on the office door rending Mkgxedx Water office. The motion carried. A motion was race by Leonard L.Nodland and seconded by f.J. 'eters, that the bills be paid as listed. The motion carried. The objectionable parts of the lease between the Tualatin Rural Fire District and the Tigard water District which the Fire District objected to was discussed. .A.J.Chaves moved and Sam Graham seconded that a committee of two from the Tigard Water Board be appointed to meet jointly with the Tualatin Rural Fire District Board at their next regular meeting. Ibis committee is to have the authority to amend the lease especially the last portion of paragraph three; To negotiate * final lease agreeable to both parties and get it executed. The motion carried. The ommittee as selected consists of C.E.Janoe and A.J.Chaves. A motion was made by Leonard L.Hodland and seconded by A.J.Chaves, that the Tigard Water District cooperate with The Tigard Sanitary District to do their billing etc. Also futher resolved that a proper agree- ment be r,repared under and by which the rights and responsibilities of the Dietridt be specified and procedure established on the cal- - of sewer charges. The motion carried. Mr. Helm and Mr. Hansen of the Walnut Avenue District extension were given the floor. They stated that their plans had failed and they wanted to know what could be done get the cine line installed. They stated that they did not want to with drew from the Tigard s.atc-r District. The matter was turned over to Atty. C.E.Wheelock and Eng. C.E.Carter for study. They will give advice at the next regular meeting of the Board.
