Fugitive from Montana Arrested
On Tuesday, March 2 d, 2021, members of the Tigard Police Department helped arrest a wanted
fugitive from Montana.
Sevin Griego, 21, had been on the run from the FBI and the Lewis & Clark County Sheriffs Office in
Montana for several months, and was wanted for evading prosecution on charges of sexual abuse of
children.
On Sunday night, February 28`x, Tigard Police detectives learned Griego was in the Tigard area. By
Tuesday afternoon, he was located along SW Ladd Hill Road in Clackamas County near Sherwood.
Tigard Police detectives, officers, and a K-9 team responded to the area, along with Sherwood Police,
deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and a CCSO K-9 team.
In an attempt to escape, Griego ran through private property toward a duck pond where he was finally
captured by CCSO K-9 Urban. Griego was taken to the Washington County Jail and will be extradited
to Montana at a later date.
If convicted, Griego faces a potential penalty of 100 years in prison under Montana law. We'd like to
thank our regional partners for their assistance in this high-profile arrest.
