Hi Aimee,
The Building permit for Sonia Sherlock is ready to issue now. The balance due is$370.21, and I have attached an invoice
above for you to reference. The permit fees can be paid online through our
website: https://aca.accela.com/tigard/Default.aspx. From there, click on the Building tab, enter the permit number
(MST2020-00322) in the Record Number field, and click Search. Once paid, please notify us at
TigardBuildingPermits@tigard-or.gov, and we will place this permit in our open Permit Center conference room for you
to pick up between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. We are closed on Fridays.

Hi Aimee,
I'm reviewing your building permit for the new deck at the Sherlock residence at 14219 SW 168th Ave. I've attached the
site plan you submitted and the original site plan that was approved when the home was built(submitted by Polygon).
Polygon's site plan shows there's only 10' between the existing home and the northern property line,which means that
if the deck is 8' wide then it's not providing enough space to meet the 3' minimum setback on the north side. Keep in
mind setbacks are measured to the property lines. Please submit 3 revised sets of plans showing how the deck meets
minimum setbacks (12'to the front property line, 3'to the side property lines, and 0'to the rear property line). You can
drop of the revised plans in the Permit Center lobby from Mondays to Thursdays, anytime from 8 a.m.to 5 p.m. Please

Thank you for the information. We have encountered this issue in the past with the property line, which prompted us
to go back and physically measure, due to the concern you stated.Upon our measurement, there is 14' between the
two houses. The property line is 11' from the Sherlock's house wall. In our estimation, this gives us the 8' left to build,
if we yield from the property line 3'. In fact, the original builder has already laid a concrete patio slab 8'from the
house wall. How would you suggest we resolve this discrepancy?
