Rose City Confections Quick Breakdown

To Whom This May Concern,
My name is Cody Buffington, Project Manager for Rose City Confections. I wanted to take a moment to go over our
production methods so that anyone receiving this will have an understanding of our process and how cannabis oil is
incorporated into our candy at the facility.
Rose City Confections is a marijuana edible producer and packager who primarily creates various cannabis candies and
syrups/tinctures for oral consumption. We also work with other companies to produce and package edibles in a white
label capacity.
We have a fully working license(s)and are working with the OLCC, ODA, and all other required City offices in order to
maintain transparency on our projects as well as our current build out.
We DO NOT: Extract, concentrate, remediate, rosin press, or process flower into any of the previous items.
WE DO NOT: Use any pressure vessels;
WE DO NOT: Have any type of open flames;
WE DO NOT: Store Bulk solvents or gases;
WE DO NOT: Have a retail location.
We DO: Intake cannabis oil (distillate)that has been tested by a State certified lab and meets all food safe/Oregon
cannabis processing criteria to be safe for consumption.
We DO: Have a small quantity of Isopropyl alcohol for cleaning a mechanical unit, less than >5gal. on site and it is stored
in a flammable cabinet.
The Process:
We create candy like any other candy company, using basic ingredients and juice concentrates/flavors to achieve our
desired product. Our recipes are the same that you would follow in a home kitchen (at a larger scale). We use calculators
and lab potency results on the distillate to figure out the proper volume to add in order to maintain the State legal dosage
levels on our edibles. Once we reach the step in our recipe that the candy or chocolate is essentially finished cooking, we
incorporate the lab tested distillate and homogenize it with the candy mixture. Once the distillate has fully mixed in,we
are finished with the cooking process and the product is moved onto the cooling stage where it will reside until it is cool
enough to be packaged.
How we heat the distillate:
In order to work with the distillate (which is solid at room temp), we heat (80°C/176°F)the cannabis oil to a consistency
that is viscous enough to mix into our candy products. To heat the distillate we use a Forced Air Convection Oven (110v)
in order to safely heat and maintain temperatures without having to worry about degradation of THC.The digital interface
allows us to safely monitor the temperature inside the oven, as well as being a scientific oven it prevents the temperature
from jumping up and down to maintain temp.
I hope this information was helpful and if you have any questions for any reason, please feel free to reach out to me.
