We only will issue duct work related Mechanical permits over the counter, and even then, (2) sets of plans are still required. Over-the-counter permits are placed in our queue for processing, which usually takes anywhere from 1-3 weeks to issue due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, this permit will require plan review, and plan review is taking anywhere from 4-6 weeks currently, but there is a chance we could make the permit ready to issue sooner. Our Planning Department reviews the location of exterior units, and they are okay with you drawing in the location of the heat pump on an aerial shot. Regarding the brackets or fasteners, we will need to know the type of brackets used along with their rating. You are welcome to include this in an email. Once we have the aerial shot with the heat pump location and bracket information, I will be able to route this permit for plan review.
