Ordinance No. 18-03 CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON TIGARD CITY COUNCIL ORDINANCE NO. 18-03 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A SECTION OF 7.60 OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ABANDONED OR STORED VEHICTPS. WHEREAS, the January 2, 2018 update to the Tigard Municipal Code for Abandoned Vehicles, TMC 7.60, inadvertently omitted a planned code update;and WHEREAS,the intent of the January 2,2018 update to TMC 7.60 was to decrease the waiting period for police removal of an abandoned or stored vehicle from five(5) days to twenty-four(24) hours;and WHEREAS,this proposed amendment fully implements Council's earlier intent;and WHEREAS, the Tigard City Council has determined that the proposed code amendments are in the best interest of the City of Tigard. NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Tigard Municipal Code Chapter 7.60.030 is amended as shown in "Exhibit A" (additional language underlined and deleted language sfic ). A. An abandoned or stored vehicle which remains in the same position, or has not been moved a minimum of five hundred feet from its earlier position for a period of five)days twenty four (24) hours (holidays, Saturdays and Sundays not included)after an owner has been requested to remove it or after notice has been served as required by Section 7.60.020, may be removed by the police department using their own personnel, equipment or facilities or those of others.
